Guess nobody would be in the mood for bar-hopping on the 28th and 29th of this month, would they? More than likely in the Biloxi area, though we may start in Ocean Springs and work our way down that way. There's a very likely chance that things will go down to New Orleans.
Eh. Just figured I'd ask. Replying to my private journal would be better than replying here, but it's all good if you feel like replying here.

Anybody got anything going on?
I need *something* to get dressed up for. Can't make it to NO tonight so... boredom ensues.
HIT ME UP if you know of any decent parties going on around OS or Pascagoula areas.
You get bonus points if it's NOT at a bar. :D

i thought of you tonight.
as i defrosted my windows.
when i realized i have bad circulation in my hands.
cause they are always cold.
i got a pit in my stomach tonight.
when i heard folks sharing about grief.
thought of our process of grieving.
the lost and death i feel with my home.
i inhaled for a long time tonight.
wanting to breathe in the smell of the gulf.
i will go to the beach.
stick my feet in that white sand.
and i will look over the broken bridge and see
not so many lights
but a lot of activity.I will see you on Wednesday Mississippi

Anyone from around here want to hang out? I'm only nineteen so it's not like I can do anything interesting... but it's seriously boring sitting around the house all day.
Me = broke bitch who wants to meet friends.
Eh, it's worth a shot.
Just remember, if you do respond, that I don't get on LJ every day. I don't check my mail every day either.
Guess I'll see if anyone's interested later. Current Mood: curious

Josette's seeking employee
Is anybody interested in taking a full-time position at Josette's costume shop in Biloxi starting in mid-May (or preferably earlier)? I'm moving to New Orleans over the summer, and I've been asked by Mrs. Josette to seek out someone to replace me. It's an absolutely fantastic job, very lenient, flexible, magical, and enjoyable, with excellent co-workers. The position you'd be filling is somewhat of a costume sales associate, for lack of a better term. Assisting customers in finding and putting together costumes is the main portion of the job, as well as maintaining the general order of the many, many costumes and organizing them. The store's hours of business are 10-6 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 10-5 Saturdays (closed Wednesdays and Sundays). A long-term, full-time employee is desired, although I'm sure she'd be willing to work around things like school. She started me out at $6.50/hr and pay is weekly. Please respond if you or someone you know is interested, so I can let her know and get you in to talk to her ASAP. Thanks!

Computer for Sale
I don't use either of my desktops (I spend most of my time on my laptop) and need space and cash more than multiple machines. So, for anyone who is interested in a computer, I'm selling this one. It plays World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Counterstrike, and Battlefield 2, which has been it's primary use for the last year or so.
Here are the specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1 Gig Corsair Pro Series RAM with heatsink
XFX GeForce 6600GT 128mb PCI-Ex16 with Dual-DVI
200 GB Harddrive
19-inch LCD with built-in speakers
Logitech MX510 Gaming Mouse
Logitech Elite Keyboard
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick
Case is a shuttle, so it's easy to carry from dorms to mom and dad's and back again, or to any LAN parties that might pop up. It also has the temps for the videocard and harddrive on the front.
It has a fresh and legal install of Windows XP Professional, patched and updated, with all the drivers updated as well. I also, obviously, will include all the install and driver discs and keys... It also has a freshly installed and patched copy of Battlefield 2 and Quake 4 (and the CDs and keys), and AVG Free edition and Firefox.
I'm asking $625.00 or best offer.

In need of some info before moving back to the coast...
I am finally getting an opportunity to move back to the coast, oh my beloved beautiful coast!
I am so excited!
It looks like I'll be living in Ocean Springs (will hear from the owner of the place I applied for sometime today).
What I need to know for budgeting purposes and just general helpfulness, is as follows:
1. Best internet/cable package (no dialup or DSL please) and what are the deposits and prices for the companies down there?
2. Might it be better to go with satellite for TV and something else for net? Opinions plz.
3. Address/name/phone number of water company + how much would a water deposit be?
4. Address/name/phone number of gas company + how much would a gas deposit be?
5. Is it MS Power territory in Ocean Springs? I'm originally from the Bay, where it's Coast Electric territory, so I wasn't sure. Is it a $250 deposit for that? I can't remember crap from when I last had an MS Power acct up here in Hattiesburg.
6. For my boyfriend, does anyone know of any places hiring specifically in the Ocean Springs area? Or even Biloxi? He doesn't really have any job history to speak of, but he's willing to do menial work like cashier/room attendant/lot attendant/general associate/waiter/whatever entry level stuff. I was thinking maybe the Lowe's in D'Iberville or the Home Depot in Gulfport, since it seems that such places are hiring (or so I've heard)....hrm. We are looking for something that would be more than minimum wage (possibly maybe $8/hour at least?), and would have somewhat flexible hours. I'll be working in Biloxi, and I can drop him off at work and stuff on my way to my job and all, but we only have one car between us currently...I may be asking alot, but if anybody has anything even remotely not crappy, let me know!
If anybody has any info -- even if you can only partially answer some of these questions -- I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, guys. :)

Just out of curiosity...
Anyone know a guy named Darren who lives in OS and works in St. Martin?
He's kickass. Just a new friend of mine... wondering if he's seriously a nice guy or if it's an act. Lol. Current Mood: curious
Okay, heard from a friendly OSHS-er that it's at least a halfway decent school.
Anyone that goes there have a review?
I'm eighteen and hoping to go back to school this year.
Any specific rules (other than the obvious) special to the school?
Uniforms? Gautier has them, do you guys?
By the way, my name is Aimee. If anyone feels the need, drop by Hwy 90 Dominos Wednesday or Friday this week after 5p and I should be there. The least you could do would be to come hang out with meh... LOL. Current Mood: curious
